The Skegness Newsletter loves fund raising/charities events and will always promote them - especially the local ones that support our local emergency services and help bring our community together.
Both the Skegness RNLI and Fire Service hold Charity Balls (photos of The Fireman's Ball soon to be posted with the help of Gemma Wilkinson) and open days at the RNLI make a trip to the sea front all the more interesting. They also allow tourists to become more involved, and I'm sure the interest from the public inspires our services to keep up their hard work.
If you're lucky enough, you may see the Skegness RNLI in training, and sometimes in action - of course, for the people involved, that isn't classed as lucky. But it just goes to show that the RNLI are as necessary as any other emergency service around.
Situated on The Tower Esplanade on the Skegness sea front, it's difficult to walk by the Skegness RNLI without taking an interest. So next time you go by, grab an ice cream and hang around for a bit. You never know what you might see.
We have a link to the right that takes you straight to the RNLI web page, so if you want to catch up on any news or just gain some more knowledge about their work, this is the page to visit. If you click here, you will also find links to their Facebook and Twitter profiles, as well as broadcasts on Youtube.
