What People Do In Skegness When It Rains!

It seems that most Lincolnshire Coast holiday-makers are not fazed by the weather when it rains. Why is this, I hear some of you ask? The answer is, that Skegness, alongside it's sister sea-side resorts, have a lot of back-up options for bad weather days that make you feel as though you're still on holiday, no matter the weather. We did a survey, and here are a few examples of what holiday-makers along the Lincolnshire Coast do, when asked how they entertain themselves on rainy days.

"Rainy days are for arcades!" - says Kerri, 19, as well as 294 other people.

"Our caravan park has enough facilities to amuse us on rainy days." - says Kim, 45, as well 152 other people.

"Pantomimes on the caravan site! Good fun for all the family as there is a bar for the adults as well as snacks for everyone!" - says Sally, 33, as well as 129 other people.

"Rain doesn't bother me. Always stick with plan A." - says John, 52, as well as 49 other people.

"Party in the caravan!" - says Sarah, 17, as well as 111 other people.

"Go swimming, then pub for beer and grub!" - says Shaun, 19, as well as 94 other people.

"Go for a walk along the coastal path. You can walk for miles." - says Jonathan, 47, as well as 188 other people.

"Play bingo all day." - says Hilda, 71, as well as 101 other people.

"Betting shop!" - says Bill, 74, as well as 56 people.

"Get on a bus and go to Skegness for the day." - says Jules, 40, as well as 322 other people.

"Do the stuff we brought for a rainy day. How often do families sit together and play games." - says Ellie, 28, as well as 64 other people.

"Put up my umbrella, put on my boots, and get out there and have a damn good time. I'm on holiday!" - says Dee, 32, as well as 238 other people.

"Good excuse for sitting in the pub all day and watching the sports channel." - says Josh, 20, as well as 297 other people.

"Panto time - for me, as well as the kids!" - says Tracey, 29, as well as 212 other people.

"Arcades, arcades, arcades!" - says Dean, 21, as well as 294 other people.

"Butlins with the missus and the kids.Simple." - Steve, 33, as well as 255 other people.

"Cinema. Then Pizza." - says Jess, 21, as well as 247 other people.

"Panda's Palace. Gives me time to have a cuppa while the kids play." - says Sharon, 26, as well as 359 other people.

"Pub meal on the sea front - if we can get a table." - says Mick, 48, as well as 237 other people.

"Have a drive to other local resorts for a change of scenery and entertainment." - says Sandra, 39, as well as 231 other people.

"Put the beach tent up beneath the pier and just watch the world go by." - says Andrew, 43

"Rummage through the leaflet stand in the foyer while the kids run circles round their dad. Isn't that what rainy days are for?" - says Jenny, 31

"Shop for some waterproofs. Then build mega sand castles on the beach with the kids. Wet sand is far better for building with." - says David, 36, as well as 39 other people.

"Shop till I drop!" says Linsey, 16, as well as 413 other people.

"Skegness Pier. There's so much to do in there for everyone." - says Emma, 28, as well as 268 other people.

"Get wet! Who cares? We're on holiday!" - says Dan, 23, as well as 163 other people.

"Do something wet. Then I won't notice it raining." - says Robert, 51, as well as 186 other people.
